Information from the Saba Conservation Foundation concerning charitable status:

At the SCF general meeting last week, a request was made to receive a written declaration that the SCF does indeed have charitable status under the US Internal Revenue Agency.  This status (commonly known as a 501(3)(c) designation) entitles the SCF to issue "letters of receipt" to US citizens for donations made to the SCF in excess of $25.00.  These letters of receipt can be used by the donor as proof of a donation and must be attached to IRS income tax forms.  In order to issue the letter of receipt, the SCF will need the full name and address of the donor. If you require additional information, please contact me.
